Join us for a Murrow Meetup!

To get together in person with our members and friends across the country, RTDNA is hosting a Murrow MeetUp in a city near you. We're planning a string of events in May and June to meet our fellow electronic journalists, enjoy a casual atmosphere and present regional Edward R. Murrow Award plaques to winning stations. It's a great networking opportunity and chance to give some recognition to our award winners.

These are casual gatherings, where we'll share some food and drink after work, get to know each other and recognize award winners from the area. Your regional director from the RTDNA board will be your host, along with state coordinators from your area.

Here's is the calendar for the spring of 2016:

We want to reach members and potential members where they are, right in their home states. As these informal gatherings grow, and we learn what else our members want to share with the community, these meetups will inspire future networking and possibly training events on a local/regional basis.

"Murrow Meetups are a fun way to gather with our friends at the local level, to help us represent our mission and what people know us for," said RTDNF Trustee Janice Gin. "We hope people will come along, pick up an award or two and enjoy a relaxing time mingling with other journalists from the area."

The National Murrow Awards are presented each year in New York City, but the Regional Murrow Awards are usually mailed out to winners. We hope our winners will enjoy being recognized in person and have a great time.
