RTDNA Names Communications Manager
WASHINGTON – The Radio Television Digital News Association announced today that Derrick Hinds will join its Washington, DC headquarters staff as Communications, Marketing and Digital Media Manager, effective January 1, 2013.
Hinds is an award-winning journalist who has worked in radio, television and digital newsrooms across the country for more than two decades. He most recently served as a national/international news editor for a digital content provider to dozens of local television stations. He has been a longtime member of RTDNA, serving three terms on the Association's board of directors and chairing its New Media and Freedom of Information committees. He also established a regional foundation to raise money for journalism scholarships and training.
