What RTDNF Does For Journalists

Advocacy for Journalists: RTDNA/F is an advocate, both on the national and local levels. We work to preserve First Amendment freedoms, lead the fight for electronic access to courtrooms, oppose government efforts to control program content, and address important ethical issues facing the industry.

Education & Research: RTDNA and RTDNF are also constantly seeking out and delivering information and resources to help journalists do their jobs better. RTDNA/F produces daily industry-related content, online webinars, training material and industry leading research to help journalists perform at the highest level and better understand the shifting media landscape.

Scholarships & Fellowships: The Radio Television Digital News Foundation provides more than $34,000 annually in scholarships and fellowships through its scholarship program. RTDNF offers scholarships and fellowships each year to college students pursuing careers in radio, television, and digital media. These awards are made on a competitive basis with nearly half of the scholarships dedicated to minorities.
