More than 1,200 people attended the Excellence in Journalism 2011 conference in New Orleans last September for professional development and networking. Sixty breakout sessions covered everything from digital journalism and new media to diversity and the First Amendment at this national conference co-sponsored by the Society of Professional Journalists and the Radio Television Digital News Association.
