Award for radio news excellence
How can anyone believe that the award for overall excellence in radio news should have gone to CBS instead of NPR? There are better selection of stories and much more depth in a five-minute NPR newscast than in one on CBS. CBS radio news is a pitiful remnant of its former self. This decision casts doubt on the entire credibility of the Edward R. Murrow Awards.

Shame
How can you possible expect your awards to be taken seriously when you are giving prizes for reporting on a continuing falsehood like the Toyota sudden acceleration story? Shame on you for debasing the profession of your members.
By Steve in Philly on Jun 21 2011
Toyota fiasco
Sorry, but you should never have rewarded Brian Ross of ABC News for grossly misreporting the Toyota sudden acceleration story, and in the process needlessly terrifying millions of drivers and destroying the value of millions of stockholders and pensions who invested in Toyota. If there's an opposite of an Edward R. Murrow Award, he should get that instead. This will go down in history as a travesty nearly the equal of the Pulitzer Prize granted to Walter Duranty for ignoring Stalin's slaughter of millions of his own people.

Consider an International Award
I'd nominate the Russian radio station Echo of Moscow (echo msk ru) for its truly innovative website.

liberal media
So Edward R. Murrow must have been a liberal, yes? Otherwise these liberal news outlets would not be receiving so many awards. They are certainly not unbiased! Check our webstore for all your beauty needs; we're your one stop beauty shop! http://www.beautywizard1.com
