Where was I on 9-11-01
I was on the air. I had just finished the 9-am news. As you may remember, when the first plane hit the World Trade Center, we were unsure if it was an accident or an attack. It wasn't until the second plane hit that we were fairly sure this was a terrorist attack. I'll always remeber the calls from listeners. When you're on the air and trying to cover a big story at the same time, it's hard to gather the facts. The one thing that sticks with me was that President Bush wanted to get back to the White House, but his security detail wouldn't allow it until they figured out what was happening.
