The program is open to American journalists working full-time in local, network and cable radio and television (including the online division of qualified electronic news organizations). Travel, hotel and most meal expenses are provided. Fellowships may be extended for up to 14 additional days to file stories, pursue individual research, or observe newsroom operations within German media organizations.
