Former RTDNA president Tom Frawley has died. His family reports he had been in failing health and had been living in a hospice facility in Melbourne, Florida.

He served in the Air Force in the Korean War, producing films for engineering, training and morale building, along with news reels and documentaries. After his discharge, he continued to work with the Air Force as a civilian advisor in film production, before joining the staff at WHIO-TV in Dayton, Ohio in 1953. He anchored newscasts at the station and became news director. In 1968, he was promoted to create a Washington, DC bureau for the Cox television station group.

Frawley was president of RTDNA (then RTNDA) in 1975 and served as president of the Associated Press broadcast board of directors.
