To get together in person with our members and friends, RTDNA hosts Murrow MeetUps in cities across the country. It's a chance to meet our fellow electronic journalists, enjoy a casual atmosphere and present regional Edward R. Murrow Award plaques to winning stations. It's a great networking opportunity and a way to give some recognition to our award winners. Regional directors from the RTDNA board are your hosts, along with state coordinators from your area. We're planning more for the coming year and hope to see you at a future event!

NEW: Murrow MeetUp Friday, August 5 at Pennsylvania 6, 1350 Eye St.NW, Washington DC 7:00-8:30pm

What can you expect at a MeetUp? Click here for a look back at our gatherings in the spring of 2016. We connected with members and award winners in Columbus, OH; Denver, Lansing, Fort Myers, New Orleans, Phoenix, Minneapolis, San Francisco, Seattle, Tuscaloosa and New York City.

We want to reach more members and potential members where they are, right in their home states. As these informal gatherings grow, and we learn what else our members want to share with the community, these meetups will inspire future networking and possibly training events on a local/regional basis. Watch for future events on this page.

"Murrow Meetups are a fun way to gather with our friends at the local level, to help us represent our mission and what people know us for," said RTDNF Trustee Janice Gin. "We hope people will come along, pick up an award or two and enjoy a relaxing time mingling with other journalists from the area."

The National Murrow Awards are presented each year in New York City, but the Regional Murrow Awards are usually mailed out to winners. We hope our winners will enjoy being recognized in person and have a great time.
