Tara Puckey, MBA, FASAE, CAE, CMP, is the President and CEO of the Radio Television Digital News Association (RTDNA), where she leads strategic initiatives to advance the organization’s mission of supporting and advocating for electronic journalists. With extensive experience in association management, Tara has successfully implemented innovative strategies to strengthen membership engagement, streamline operations, and drive organizational growth.

Under her leadership, RTDNA has enhanced its programs, expanded professional development opportunities, and increased its impact within the journalism community. Tara’s expertise in operational efficiency and member-focused solutions has positioned RTDNA as a forward-thinking leader in the rapidly evolving media landscape.

A Certified Association Executive (CAE) and Certified Meeting Professional (CMP), Tara brings a proven track record of building strong, connected communities and fostering collaboration. Her results-oriented approach and commitment to excellence continue to elevate RTDNA’s role as a vital resource for journalists across the country.

She has held senior leadership roles at both RTDNA and the Society of Professional Journalists, and has trained more than 3,000 journalists and nonprofit professionals in effective leadership. Recognized as one of Association Forum’s Forty Under 40 and an Obama Leader for 2025–2026, she is also a Certified Association Executive and Fellow of the American Society of Association Executives.
