Formed and developed the dominant broadcast television news team in southeast Minnesota and northern Iowa. In May, 2019, KTTC was #1 in all newscasts, often with more DMA viewers in major weekday newscasts than other two competing stations combined. Honored with Emmy, SPJ, various awards. Helped create compassionate community service campaigns enthusiastically embraced.

Promoted from Executive Producer in 1999. Led growth of News 3 into significant force in DMA, moving into #2 position in most newscast ratings in May, 2004. Personally directed investigative reporting, targeted sweeps projects. Created environment to break stories ahead of all other media. Led efforts to install Baron Doppler radar, Weather Central graphics systems, array of nine skycams for superior severe weather coverage. Honored as MAB’s “Station of the Year” in 1996, 2000.
