Sheryl Worsley

Sheryl Worsley, Vice President of Podcasting at KSL Podcasts, was installed as Chair of the Radio Television Digital News Association on Friday at RTDNA24 in Milwaukee. Worsley will serve in that role for one year.

“Reliable, responsible journalism matters more now than maybe it ever has,” Worsley said at the closing membership meeting at the Pfister Hotel. “Many of our reporters are resilient and committed. We need them and we need you.”

Worsley succeeds outgoing chair Tim Scheld, who will move into the role of Chair of the RTDNA Foundation.

Worsley began her speech by thanking Scheld for his service as RTDNA Chair, which started in September 2022 and was extended as RTDNA moved its annual conference from fall to spring this year.

“You’ve had a bit of an extended term as Chair with our conference move to June — all the more time for you to help move the organization forward in so many meaningful ways,” Worsley said. “You’ve been instrumental in helping to shepherd through a major governance modernization process and spark innovative conversations about the future of the industry and RTDNA. We thank you for your time and talent.  And we look forward to your work with the Foundation.”

Colin Benedict, Vice President of News, Morgan Murphy Media, has been elected Chair-Elect and started his leadership cycle Friday. His term as Chair will begin at RTDNA25 next June in New Orleans.
