RTDNA, TVNewsCheck to host 'Putting the New Back in News' at NAB Show

RTDNA will partner with TVNewsCheck at this year’s NAB Show to present a joint session and networking event focused on how news organizations are rethinking their approach to content and audiences in a rapidly changing media landscape.
The session, Putting the New Back in the News, is scheduled for Sunday, April 19, at 4 p.m. PT at the Las Vegas Convention Center West Hall as part of TVNewsCheck’s Programming Everywhere conference. The discussion will immediately precede a happy hour co-sponsored by RTDNA.
The programming and reception are part of RTDNA's World Tour.
The program will bring together newsroom leaders from CBC, Gray Media, CBS and Hearst Television to examine how news organizations are responding to shifting audience expectations for authenticity, novelty and ubiquity across platforms.
Speakers include Lee Zurik, senior vice president of strategy and innovation at Gray Media; Barbara Maushard, senior vice president and chief content officer for news at Hearst Television; Mike Dello Stritto, vice president and news director at CBS Los Angeles; and Marc Lefebvre, senior director of operations at CBC News. The discussion will be moderated by Michael Depp, chief content officer of NewsCheckMedia and editor of TVNewsCheck.

RTDNA’s participation in the conference underscores the organization’s focus on providing newsroom leaders with practical insights and opportunities to engage with peers on the challenges shaping the future of television news.
RTDNA members are eligible for discounted registration. Members can use code RTDNA199 to attend Programming Everywhere for the full day for just $199 or code RTDNA99 to attend the news session and the happy hour for just $99.
